We are now looking for a business-minded General Counsel & Business Affairs to join a growing startup based in Stockholm.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, willing to take on any task—big or small—with a hands-on attitude. You should be as comfortable driving strategic initiatives as you are tackling day-to-day challenges.

You will:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, including IP acquisitions and commercial contracts.

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.

• Take ownership of your legal domain, confidently making decisions and advising on risks.

• Provide strategic legal advice to support business goals.

• Work closely with the management team to set the strategy of the company.

• Foster partnerships and understand the nuances of working with investment funds and the entertainment industry.

• Optimize legal processes by exploring and implementing new tools, including AI, to enhance efficiency. You may even have the opportunity to product manage a tool that supports the legal aspects of an IP transaction.

• Collaborate with international counterparts, managing interactions with attorneys and stakeholders around the world.

To succeed in this role, you need

• Master’s degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification.

• At least four years of relevant experience from a business law firm, investment firm or similar.

• Proven experience in negotiating complex commercial agreements with international counterparties.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy, combined with a proactive, pragmatic and creative approach to legal challenges.

• A commercial mind-set, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to take ownership, be assertive and get things done.

• Adaptable to changes in strategy and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Highly proficient and comfortable working in English.
