The position
At Toyota Material Handling Europe, we’re not just about moving materials – we are about moving forward. Innovation, sustainability and excellence drive everything we do. Now, we’re looking for a Legal Counsel – Sustainability and Corporate Legal Affairs to join our Legal & Compliance team.
In this role you will contribute to our sustainability journey and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
Main responsibilities would include:
- Monitor EU ESG regulations, keep stakeholders informed and provide expert compliance guidance.
- Maintain and develop ESG resources and toolkits, provide training and support specific sustainability matters.
- Oversee ESG compliance across our value chain, including due diligence for risk assessment and management.
- Provide legal guidance on sustainability in business relationships, covering risk assessments, contracts and audits.
- Support on corporate law and governance matters, contributing to initiatives that strengthen our governance framework.
Your profile
- Law degree with a focus on corporate law, sustainability, and/or regulatory compliance.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with similar topics preferably from a multinational corporation, law firm or regulatory body.
- Experience within EU ESG regulatory frameworks and corporate governance is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate legal requirements into practical business solutions.
- Structured, flexible, and collaborative mindset with a strong focus on stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency in both English and Swedish is a requirement.
